Health

An essay and recommended reading material supporting our philosophy.

Have you heard there’s a “health crisis” in America today?

Do you know what it means? Maybe it means most Americans are sick. Maybe it means there aren’t enough health professionals. Maybe it actually refers to medical insurance and how difficult it is to be insured.

Or does it mean that we don’t know how to be well.

Being healthy is possible. It is possible to be well and fit and strong and flexible all through your life. And you’ve probably heard the basic formula many, many times: “Eat right. Stay active,” accompanied by all the codicils to drink enough water, get enough sleep, take your supplements, exercise.”

What we don’t hear much about is the importance of such additional elements of well-being as happiness, fun, love, awe, variety, peace and purpose.

Here at modesofemotion.com we believe the tie between health and emotions is both strong and critical. Below are some of the books we recommend on this subject.
